Caroline's artwork from the early teens into adulthood. No oils: just pencil, pen-and-ink, and water-colour.
My Mother continued to encourage me in artistic skills while I was living at home. She helped me make "My art book" in which I collected various techniques: lettering, splatter-work, square counterchange, stencilling, perspective, origami, drawing horses, cats and trees, enlarging pictures, ink brush-work, papier mache, water-colour wash, colour combination, Chinese theatrical masks, the origins of letters and numbers and Chinese brush-work. It was inspiring tuition and, in later years, very useful.
